Life with a Brain Tumour

In November 2012, when I was 8, I was diagnosed with a brain tumour. I had a biopsy operation and was fitted with a VP shunt to treat hydrocephalus. Since then I have had a debulking operation, 30 Proton Beam treatments (in Jacksonville, Florida) and 9 operations to treat a malfunctioning shunt. The latest operations were on 21st March and 11th of April 2018. I have had incredible support from the Paediatric Neurology, Oncology and Endochrine teams at the Glasgow Royal Hospital for Children and I am very grateful to them for all that they do for me.

I have decided to write this blog to share my thoughts and feelings and maybe that will help other children who are going through similar experiences.
